Alan Jackson Prepares The Bluegrass Album

Alan Jackson will release The Bluegrass Album on September 24, a project he has wanted to make for years. He went into the studio last spring with some of the best bluegrass musicians and came out just days later with a complete album. Alan wrote eight of the 14 songs on the project.

“I just am a fan of the music, and I didn’t want to do something that disappointed the bluegrass world, ” he said. “I didn’t want them to think I was just another country act wanting to make a bluegrass album. I’ve always liked the music and wanted to do something in that vein and something I could be proud of.”

Among the songs Alan wrote for the project are “Blacktop, ” “Blue Ridge Mountain Song” and “Mary.” The album also includes covers of John Anderson’s “Wild and Blue” and Bill Monroe’s “Blue Moon of Kentucky.”

I heard this song and I just love the lyrics, made me cry just hearing the song and reading the lyrics.
It's by Alan jackson, Remember When - it's country, but hey, i appreciate all music.
Remember when I was young and so were you
and time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when
Remember when we vowed the vows
and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when

Embarassing? Hmmmm

I love yours, BTW.
When I was really little, I wanted to do bad things to David Cassidy. I even saved my ratty old sneaker laces to tie him up with.
I once proposed to Peggy Fleming, but I'm not so sure she heard me as I took a header onto the ice when I started talking to her. (again, I was really young)
Okay, so The Rock is a guilty pleasure. but he has a sense of humor. That counts for a lot.
My current crushes don't embarass me

One day you'll

Have everything you think you want and wonder "Why am I not happy."
You'll either search a lifetime for it in other things/people or look to yourself.
It isn't realtionships for everyone, it may be gadgets or books or money.
Oh, and it isn't out of a texbook. Its out of this thing called life.
You should read Denise Jackson's new biography (Alan Jackson's wife). They were famous and had everything they had ever wanted and could buy anything they didn't have. You know what? They weren't happy. They separated and a large part of what is written is how she learned to be happy with herself first
