Alan Jackson Mercury Blues

Keith Urban in Alan Jackson's video Have you ever watched a video and wondered just who that was that was in it? You know, the people besides the famous person.

Well if you've ever watched Alan Jackson's Mercury Blues video and wondered just who that lovely lady with the supple blond hair playing guitar in the shadows ever so sexily is - then you may want to consult a psychologist because that lovely lady was Keith Urban!

Haha.

It's okay, Keith was in the dark the whole time so it's a little hard to tell if he's a guy or a gal. And his hair really was long and lush so.....

Keith recently sat down and gave an interview for his tour sponsor AT&T and Samsung and revealed how he first met Alan Jackson. It wasn't too long after Keith came to Nashville when he heard that musical giant Alan Jackson was shooting a video and needed a long-haired guitar player in the video. Keith fit the bill and got the job.

Keith says he was excited to meet Alan Jackson but things didn't work out exactly as planned. Check it out.

And here's Keith's Alan Jackson video debut. Yep, that's him in the shadows.

Mercury Blues Lyrics
Alan Jackson
Well if I had money
Tell you what I'd do
I'd go downtown and buy a Mercury or two
Crazy 'bout a Mercury
Lord I'm crazy bout a Mercury
I'm gonna buy me a Mercury
And cruise it up and down the road
Well the girl I love
I stole her from a friend
He got lucky, stole her back again
She heard he had a Mercury
Lord she's crazy 'bout a Mercury
I'm gonna buy me a Mercury
And cruise it up and down the road
Well hey now mama
You look so fine
ridin' round in your M
